Easter 2009

This Easter was a different experience for us. We normally go to church with Josh's Mamaw Betty and hunt eggs after church. This year there was a set plan and so my Aunt Anita asked everyone to come to her house for lunch and hunt eggs. It was also a late birthday lunch for my Mamaw Coker who turned 79 on March 30th. It was the first time since Christmas that our whole family had a chance to get together. It was a special moment for my grandparents. They rarely get to see all of us together anymore. We each lead busy lives and it's hard to plan around everyone's schedule.
We had a wonderful lunch and a beautiful afternoon for hunting eggs. My cousin Brad, who is a like a joker, hid two prize eggs. One had a dollar bill in it and the other one had "Brad" written on the outside. So if you found the "Brad" egg you would win.... yes you guessed correctly, you won Brad. He is so hilarious.
My oldest nephew Carson really wanted to find the egg with the dollar in it. He and my cousin Kaleb were playing the hot/cold game with Brad to find the egg. So we told Dalton where it was. Dalton is running to the location but doesn't see it. My nephew Carter is running from the opposite direction as Dalton and he sees the egg but....he falls and dumps all of his eggs on the ground. He gets up, forgets the eggs and runs and grabs the prize egg. It was a priceless moment.
Everyone cheered...and Carter just smiled.

It was a great day and I was thankful to be there to enjoy so much fun.
